Listography – Favourite ice creams/ ice lollies

by admin on July 9, 2011

This week’s Listography from Kate Takes 5 is about favourite ice creams or ice lollies. One of the most popular ice creams in Singapore is the ice cream sandwich, available from street vendors around the city. It consists of 2 layers of wafer surrounding a block of ice cream. They come in weird and wonderful flavours including Red Bean, Yam, Durian, Sweet Corn, Honeydew and Chocolate. I’ve yet to try one.

Here are my favourite ones:

1) Crunchie Ice Cream – I love Crunchie chocolate bars and think the ice cream version is delicious. I just wish the bits were bigger.

2) Bounty Ice Cream – The coconut ice cream is divine

3) Twister

4) Home Made – You can make whatever flavour you want using juices, milk and fruit. They’re healthy, preservative free, no added sugar. Great for kids.

And my most favourite of them all, dah dah dah…

5) Mini-Milk – the humble Mini-Milk has been a favourite ever since I was small. Full of nostalgia, it conjures up memories of long, hot Summers in the village where I grew up.  They are low in calories so I ate one a day during the Summer when I was pregnant with my first daughter.

Mini-milk! How could I have forgotten about those? I think they accounted for 90% of my diet growing up.
