Only in Singapore…

by admin on June 28, 2012

Yesterday I bought some juicy-looking strawberries from Cold Storage, the main supermarket chain in Singapore. I got them home to find nearly all of them mouldy. Great, no strawberries. It was the last straw to a crap morning. They picked the wrong person to mess with, I was in the the mood to complain.I sent an email to their customer service department. I know they were only $6 but it’s not the point. It’s not the first time.

Within 2 hours the store manager had contacted me, apologised and said he’d personally deliver some new strawberries and a refund the next day.

He’s just been.

I’m gob-smacked! A-mazing!

Can you imagine that EVER happening at any supermarket in the UK, or indeed anywhere else in the world?

I love this country, now if only they could get to grips with their restaurant service.

No it would never happen anywhere else! Lovely that they took your complaint seriously!

They definitely went that extra mile

I remember seeing your tweet about this last week…

I just got home with a roasted chicken from Cold Storage. Cut into it and it’s completely raw inside! Definitely not safe to eat.

I’ll send them an email and see if I get as prompt a reply as you did!
