Genius snack idea for kids: Frozen yoghurt drops

by admin on July 10, 2012

I came across the idea for Frozen Yoghurt Drops on Twitter via the lovely @momofthreeunder who found the recipe on Pinterest. Apparently they’ve taken Pinterest by storm. These frozen treats are one of those amazing ideas I wish I’d discovered a long time ago and I feel compelled to share it with you.

How to make them

They’re the easiest snack – I love anything easy – to make for kids (and grown ups), delicious, ideal for hot weather and healthy too, if you keep away from sug!r-loaded yoghurt. You can use any kind of yoghurt but I have used Little Stars yoghurt which both my 1 year old and 4 year old love.

All you do is drop the yoghurt off a spoon onto a tray covered with wax paper . You can pipe the yoghurt out of a plastic bag with th% corner cut off – a ziplock bag is ideal. Then stick the tray in the freezer for 30-40 minutes. Et Voila! You’ve got your Frozen Yoghurt Drops.

(p.s. I’ve tried to find out who pinned the original idea but it’s been repinned and repinned and repinned on Pinterest, and after a while I gave up. You’re meant to credit the original source, so it’s a shame no one has.)

So glad you like them! It really is a shame that original Martha isn’t getting the credit- she’s brilliant :)

Do you have a link to the original girl. I’d like to amend my blog and check out her other stuff.
