Listography: Six songs of me

by admin on November 15, 2012

Six songs of me is the latest listography from Kate Takes 5, inspired by a feature in The Guardian. I had great fun thinking about it. Here are my answers to the questions.

1. What was the first song you ever bought?

ABBA Super Trouper (on vinyl). Classic video! It’s just dawned on me how old I really am.

2. What song always gets you dancing?

Faithless Insomnia will get me dancing (even if there’s no dance floor). It’s one of my all time favourites.

3. What song takes you back to your childhood?

Pet shop boys Always on my mind. To think I fancied Neil Tennant!

4. What is your perfect love song?

Tough one. Frank Sinatra Fly me to the moon. This was the song for our first dance at my wedding. OR Jack Johnson Better Together.

5. What song would you want at your funeral?

Cold Play Viva La Vida. It’s so uplifting but I cry every time I hear it.

6. Time for the encore. One last song that makes you you.

Jamiroquai Cosmic Girl. Need I say more!

Why not do a post on your own Six songs of me, and add a link here.

Abba to Faithless to pet shop boys? That’s some combination! Insomnia is an awesome track though

Based on this list we could hang out with each other and be friends. Love your taste in music. Faithless is at the top of my list too, but I picked Katrina and the Waves instead. Great list.

I so remember super trooper from my childhood. We had it on cassette and played it over and over on a little one speaker cassette player. Faithless ahhh fantastic.

Great list. Abba takes me straight back to singing into my hairbrush, but Stars on 45 is childhood stuff listening to Casey Kasem on the American Top 40…. Love dancing to “Human” by the Killers.
