Printerpix photo competition: A family portrait from Gaya Island

by admin on February 11, 2013

This month, Tots100 has teamed up with Printerpix to celebrate family photography, by running a family photo competition. I thought it would be fun to enter one of my family portraits.

I am always taking photos of my children and I love this photo of the two of them. It was taken on Gaya Island, Borneo on a family holiday. My daughters are playing happily together in the sand, with Mount Kinabalu in the background, although the top of the top of the mountain is hidden behind the low cloud. The view of the mountain gave me goose bumps. I love the bright colours of the clothes against the yellow of the beach, and blues in the background.

Every time I look at this photo of my 2 little girls on the beach, with the enormous mountain ahead of them, it brings back powerful memories of a fabulous holiday.

There are some great photos that have been entered in the competition, so head over to Tots 100 to have a look.
