I’ve been on the hunt for a stylish cover for Baby C’s cot as she ditched her sleeping bag (a long time ago). As we don’t put the aircon on in her room at night, the temperature is over 25°C so she needs something light.
I spotted these absolutely gorgeous Indian summer blankets (Dohars) from Feroza Designs, who make bedding for children, at Boutiques at the Gallery Hotel Christmas fair last week. These stylish blankets are made from three layers of high quality cotton muslin and feel very soft. The weight is in between a sheet and a blanket. The middle layer and trim have been block printed by hand and the design is simple but very pretty.
They are absolutely perfect for the hot climate in Singapore. They also make other bedding for children including beautiful quilts that are slightly thicker and matching pillows, as well as swaddles for babies.
These children’s summer blankets come in several designs but the Rose Bird Dohar is my favourite. There is a blue version too.
Fabric: 100% cotton
Dimensions: 114cm x 152cm.
The size fits cots and toddler beds (and is apparently suitable for children up to age six). I actually think Feroza should design summer blankets for older children too!
These summer blankets would make beautiful Christmas gifts for children and are available online from Feroza Designs for $90
