Geraldine March 21, 2012 at 10:05 am

Good day! I’m Geraldine from Essence Studios.

We came across your blog (which is a joy to read btw :) ) and would like to see if there are any chance for us to work together.

Essence Studios is a boutique photography studio specialized in contemporary portraiture, particularly family photography, and high end interior products. We have studios in Hong Kong and Singapore at the moment and we are looking to develop our brand to Asia Pacific and China in the near future. In Singapore, we currently operate in a 4,500 sq ft studio on the ground floor of 112 Killiney Road next to Singtel Building.

Basically, we would like to invite you and your family to come for a photoshoot session with us. What we do here at Essence Studios is pretty different from other studios, we take more dynamic, fun and interactive shots which I’m sure would be a great experience for all of you. We also wish to give your readers a special offer from Essence Studios. I have attached our portfolio for you to see some of our previous works.

I’m wondering if it would be convenient for us to schedule a meeting at our studio to further discuss on this? Do feel free to call me at 6836 3360.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Thank you!

I chance upon your blog.

I’m opening a online shop for kids clothing and wondering if i’m able to use your help in PR, review on my shop or maybe clothes.
It will be great if the shop receive a few reviews from mommy’s blogger.

I find that i have difficulty in marketing my product/website, as i do not have much connection.

Kindly be noted that we will revamp our website early August and it will take about 3 weeks to be ready, with additional stock/new models.

Please advise me how do you want to go about it?

Look forward to your reply soon.

Have a good day.

Jonathan O'Shea August 22, 2013 at 11:38 pm

Hi Janine,

We’re two British Maths teachers currently working at international schools in Singapore and have recently started providing regular Maths support sessions to expat kids aged 11-18. We’d like to increase our reach within the expat community and feel you’re the right person to go to.

Our classes are small, we guarantee a maximum of 5 students, and centrally located at Central Shopping Mall, opposite Clarke Quay. We aim to offer a positive, welcoming environment to enable children to gain confidence and develop their understanding of the subject. Our approach is tailored specifically towards expat students and we cover all the major curricula offered in Singapore’s international schools.

If you know of any parents who might be interested, please refer them to us and we will be happy to offer both yourself and the parent $50 for each sign-up we receive for our next set of classes in September. Just ask them to state your name when they sign-up on our website.

You can find out more about us at :

Thanks for your post regarding the Maths Club. Whilst it’s not so useful for my children now, I often hear about expat children struggling with Maths when they hit their exams.
