Singapore with kids

I will put links to places, restaurants, kids play areas I think are worth recommending, as I come across them.

Restaurants

Marche, 313 Mall, Orchard Road. $15-$20++ for a main

I love this place for brunch. Swiss chalet-style, great value, excellent quality food. Little wooden playhouse for kids and kids menu. Rosti, Pizza, Pasta, Crepes, Fish, Meat, Seafood, desserts

The Tanglin Tree, 56 Tanglin Road

This restaurant is opposite Tanglin Mall. It has outdoor seating with a great kids playground. Perfect for lunch. International cuisine.

Flutes at Fort Canning, 21 Lewin Terrace $33++ for 2-course set lunch

Upmarket converted black & white house at the top of quite a few steps. I went here for my birthday lunch and it was surprisingly baby-friendly. Two of us took prams but the staff helped carry them up to the restaurant. Baby C cried and the waiters and waitresses were only too happy to help. The waiters were so friendly and obviously used to children as they do weekend brunches.

Brunch

Shangri-la Sentosa – Barnacles $88++ (kids free under 6)

This was awesome. The buffet was incredible. Seafood, BBQ lamb, meat, fish, desserts to die for. I had some of the best crab I’ve ever had. Kids (free under 6) had their own buffet with waffles, chicken nuggets, chips (of course), pasta and sweets (which the grown-up kept raiding). There was a face-painter and balloon man to entertain the kids. Afterwards you can use the hotel facilites, so we spent the afternoon by the pool. The kids loved the waterslides.
