Blogging: Keeping your children's identities a secret

My blog is not anonymous, although I often wish it was, however, I have chosen to protect my 2 year old daughter’s identity and have therefore kept it a secret. I have always referred to her as ‘The little one’ or ‘my 2 year old’, and I have never used a photo of her. I wanted to protect her identity (although I’m not actually sure what from). It can get a bit complicated, so I’m going to pick a name for her, I’m thinking Miss C or something.

It would be interesting to find out what other mummy bloggers do and why.

  • Who uses their children’s real names and/or photos?
  • If you keep your child’s identity a secret, what do you call them and why? I’ve seen some great names out there
