We’re spending Christmas in Phuket this year and because we’re going to be away, Miss C is (understandibily) extremely concerned about how Santa will find us. So out of the bag comes reindeer food. You sprinkle a trail leading up to the place where you will be on Christmas Eve so the reindeer will see the food. It’s so easy to make, mix dried oats mixed with some glitter and stick it in a bag made out of clear wrapping paper. It’s easy for them to spot it at night too because the glitter will shine. If only I was 5 again! [click to continue…]

Cash to splash this Christmas? I love this range of quintessentially English toys at Fortnum and Mason. Okay so they’re expensive, but beautiful too.
Beatrix Potter Children’s Tea Hamper £65

This is the ultimate gift for Fortnum’s youngest customers – their very own hamper filled with a Beatrix Potter porcelain tea set. Just right for a dolls’ tea party.
Train Spinning Top – £35

This battery-operated toy turns the traditional spinning top into an extravaganza. As the top spins, it makes realistic train noises.
Beefeater and Guardsman Rubber Ducks – £6

The traditional rubber duck with a London twist. For adults as much as children!
